30.03.2023 The three bodies of works (Dibujos de San Pablo [The São Paulo Drawings] 1982, four works from the early 90s, and five recent drawings) presented at BARRO New York contemplate the long path of MARCELO POMBO’s aesthetics from his Starting Point until today. The conceptual and the artisanal in the limit of the baroque and the conservatively aberrant, deconstructs the antinomies of the high culture and the popular, fine arts and crafts, the luxurious and the cheap, nature and culture. Chorros — BARRO BUENOS AIRES
12.03.2023 Chorros, by Agustina Woodgate, penetrates the city infrastructure of Buenos Aires, constructing a water processing and distribution system. Chorros is composed of three bodies of work– The Plant, The Bags and The Laundry. BARRO Buenos Aires, is located four blocks away from the Riachuelo River, part of the Matanza-Riachuelo basin, which holds the Puelche Aquifer.

National Award for Artistic Career
13.12.2022 Marcelo Pombo and Mónica Girón are two of the 16 artists awarded with the 2022 Premio Nacional a la Trayectoria Artística, awarded by Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación and are part of the National Salon of Visual Arts.The works of the awarded authors will be incorporated into the collection of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires.
