18.11.2014 Precipitar una Especie reveals a fundamental effort by Matías Duville to set in both space and volume some of the most important subjects addressed in his work. The installation that gives its name to the exhibition (26 x 9 x 8 metres) represents an evident tension between the hard and soft elements of which it is composed, a timeless link between forest and desert, science and nature. The drawings in the exhibition reflect a profound change of direction in the artist’s exploration, some of which is in high density(Noche Japón and Macizado) and others in marked contrast to light (Osamenta Bumeran). Completing the exhibition is the video installation Open House, a journey along a furrow that emerges from a lake and leads us to the remains of a disassembled house set in the middle of the humid Pampa.

LA CHOLA at MASP

06.03.2026 La Chola Poblete: pop andino, is La Chola's first exhibition in Brazil. Curated by Adriano Pedrosa and Leandro Muniz, the exhibition brings together 31 works, including 14 watercolors from the iconic series Vírgenes cholas, exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2024.
