Meeting with Carlos Amorales

08.12.2014 Mexican artist Carlos Amorales was the first guest on the programme Aplicación de las diferentes Teorías de Flujos created by curator Marta Ramos–Yzquierdo. The programme reflects Barro’s aim of promoting local and international debate on the problems facing the contemporary art world within the Argentine scenario.
For one week the invitation brought together curators, researchers, film makers, managers and artists, both from the gallery and from other spheres of activity. At a series of meetings with Carlos Amorales they discussed the situation of the artist as a professional and the social, economic and political implications of such a fact.We are grateful to Fundación Proa, Usina Del Arte and Nicola Costantino Studio for the invitation and the opportunity to hold these encounters.
